Electrical units at a glance

Voltage, current, resistance, power and charge measure different electrical quantities.

For ideal DC circuits, power P = voltage V × current I, and Ohm’s law states V = I × R. These relationships can help check an estimate but do not replace proper circuit analysis, safety ratings, or the effects of AC phase, frequency, temperature and component tolerances.
