Practical explanations to make conversion results easier to interpret.
Every conversion family defines its base unit and factor. Special categories are kept separate when a single multiplier would be misleading.
Understand the conversion factor, see relevant caveats, and use worked examples to check the result.

Currency rates are not silently invented; food ingredient weight depends on density; and specialist calculations need context.
ConvertEverything is designed as a practical reference for everyday measurements, digital work, cooking, mathematics, and specialist unit systems. Our aim is to make routine calculations faster without hiding the method.
For ordinary linear measurements, each unit is mapped to a defined base unit by a conversion factor. Temperature uses offsets as well as scale factors. Fuel economy is reciprocal, and numeric bases use integer representation, so these families do not use a simple linear multiplier. Calculator outputs are estimates where the input assumptions describe estimates.
Results should be checked before use in safety-critical, clinical, legal, engineering, financial, or laboratory decisions. A general-purpose converter is not a substitute for approved instruments, professional judgment, current exchange rates, or standards applicable to a particular jurisdiction.
Core calculations happen locally in your browser. Favorites and recent conversions are stored on this device. This starter project does not ship analytics, accounts, an advertising tag, a backend database, or a live currency-rate API.
